The customer service AI category is fragmented — 15+ vendors compete and no one holds more than 18.8% market share (per CB Insights, January 2026). Enterprise platforms price deployments at $150K–$400K+ per year with 6–12 week implementations. DIY chatbot builders lack helpdesk integration and accuracy methodology. Mid-market B2B SaaS teams are stuck between two bad options.

The team

Chandan founded Twig in 2022 to make autonomous AI support accessible to teams outside the Fortune 500. Previously at H2O.ai and Zyme, with an MS in Computer Science and coursework in neural networks from Coursera (2017) and Startup Escape Velocity at Stanford Continuing Studies (2025). He works out of the San Francisco Bay Area with a distributed team.
